Dr. Ramasamy is a board-certified gastroenterologist who completed a one-year advanced therapeutic endoscopic fellowship at St. Luke’s Medical Center in Milwaukee, WI under world-renowned gastroenterologists Marc Catalano, MD, and Joseph Geenen, MD. His advanced endoscopic training focused on endoscopic ultrasound, ERCP including The SpyGlass® procedure (direct endoscopic visualization of bile and pancreatic ducts) as well as double balloon enteroscopy (complete examination of the small intestine). He has presented at various scientific meetings throughout the United States, including Digestive Disease Week, the world’s largest gastroenterology conference, as well as at the American College of Gastroenterology annual conference.

Prior to his advanced endoscopy training, Dr. Ramasamy completed a comprehensive four-year gastroenterology training at East Carolina University in North Carolina, one year of which was dedicated to basic research on liver fibrosis/fatty liver disease using liver stellate cells. His research work was presented at the American Association for the Study of Liver Disease annual meeting, and was awarded the outstanding research abstract at his university’s annual research meeting. Dr. Ramasamy has also completed a one-year fellowship in nutrition support at the Cleveland Clinic under Dr. Ezra Steiger and Douglas Seidner, one of the largest nutrition support service centers in the world.

Dr. Ramasamy is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Gastroenterology Association, American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy and American College of Gastroenterology.
